Bosch CP4.1 and CP4.2 pump repair across Ukraine
We repair removed Bosch CP4.1 and CP4.2 pumps: VW 2.0 TDI Common Rail (Crafter, Amarok, Transporter T5), BMW and others. Inspection with photos, repair, bench test and advice on the injectors.
Price: from 2,500 UAH
What makes the CP4 different
In the compact CP4 the plunger is driven through a roller tappet that runs on the shaft cam. The CP4.1 has one plunger, the CP4.2 two. The pump depends heavily on the lubricity of the fuel: water, petrol or air in the system destroy the roller and cam.
Why a failure is dangerous
When the roller stops turning, it wears the cam away and fine metal particles get into the fuel. They reach the rail and injectors, so a failed CP4 often means repairing the whole fuel system. Signs: the engine stalls while driving and won't restart, rail pressure drops, the scanner shows fuel pressure errors.
Where it is used
- VW Crafter, Amarok and Transporter T5 with the 2.0 TDI Common Rail
- other first-generation 2.0 TDI Common Rail VW, Audi, Skoda and Seat models
- BMW with 2.0 and 3.0 d diesels (N47, N57)
How we repair it
We strip the pump, photograph the cam, roller and plunger and agree the price. After the repair we bench-test pressure and output. If we find metal particles, be sure to flush the system and check the injectors: otherwise the rebuilt pump will soon go the way of the old one.

FAQ
How do I send parts for repair?
Remove the pump or injectors, plug the openings, pack them tightly and ship via Nova Poshta. Add a note with your phone number and car model. See the Delivery & payment page for details.
Do you give a warranty?
Yes, on the work done and installed parts. The terms are stated in the report.
When will I know the price?
After the bench test we call you to agree the price. We never start a repair without your approval.
Why check the turbocharger, injectors and pump together?
The turbocharger, injectors and high-pressure pump work as one system. Worn injectors flood the cylinders with excess fuel, which overloads the turbocharger. A worn pump contaminates the whole fuel system with metal shavings and damages the injectors. A faulty turbocharger delivers the wrong boost, so the engine runs with the wrong air-fuel balance. Repairing just one part often means the problem comes back, so we recommend having these units checked together: on the bench we find the root cause instead of only fixing the symptom.
What should I do if I notice signs of a fault?
Don't put it off: a small fault quickly becomes an expensive one. Don't rely on “miracle additives”: they don't restore worn parts. Don't drive if you hear grinding, see heavy smoke or the oil pressure drops. Get in touch: we'll advise you, test the removed parts on the bench and tell you honestly whether a repair is needed and which one.
